Clements' Marketplace seeks a full-time Assistant Manager for our Blue Lobster Cafe in Portsmouth, RI. Clements' is a family owned and operated business with three locations and ties to RI & MA since 1980.

Duties & Responsibilities:
· The Asst. Manager provides exceptional customer service. They will assist customers with product selections/orders and offer suggestions as needed.
· The Asst. Manager will plan menus and offerings for our self-service areas; (ex: Hot Bar Grab & Go).
· The Asst. Manager will work with the Café Manager to monitor the freshness of food and ingredients.
· The Asst. Manager will supervise and coordinate the activities of staff and food preparation.
· The Asst. Manager will be responsible for ordering, inventory and maintenance of food cost.
· The Asst. Manager will create recipes and keep up with cooking/food trends.
· The Asst. Manager will follow proper cleaning, sanitation and food safety guidelines. Equipment will be utilized in a safe manner, in accordance with store policies and procedure. Maintaining proper organization of work spaces is also required.
· The Asst. Manager works closely with the Department Manager and Store Manager to maintain the department goals.
The Asst. Manager will perform other duties as required.
· Previous working experience in food service strongly preferred.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Ability to resolve problems efficiently.
· Highly motivated individual that can work in a fast paced retail environment.
· Ability to multi-task, have excellent time management and organizational skills.
